Project involving the redesign of a traditional Irish pub located in an Architectural Conservation Area in West Kerry.

The purpose of the redesign is to improve the existing pub front (above) to create a stronger presence on the main street. The proposed design creates a strong visual framework for the building through the provision of a simple sandblasted concrete lintel which spans the entire length of the newly formed ope while embossed lettering offers subtle signage.

Deep window reveals provide a place to sit, both internally and externally, while a ribbed concrete plinth creates texture and provides a solid visual base.
